“Chi non fa, non sbaglia”

We decided to ask the company’s Cheif Technology Officer – Leonardo Antichi – what helps him to support the growth of the company’s commercial offer and keep the delivery at the highest level. What are your job goals and mission?

As the CTO of Sababa, my main mission is to ensure that the work done in the company is completed to the highest quality and standards in terms of both effectiveness and efficiency when it comes to meeting deadlines and customer requirements. We are also expanding and investing in our own technologies, so it is essential now to raise the bar.

Which of your previous experiences would help you on the way of reaching your goals?

My past experience in a big consulting company taught me a lot, including how to manage and structure very dynamic teams. I also had several experiences in System Integrators in Italy that worked a lot with the Public Administration. From this point of view I learned a little bit better the internal mechanism or, if we want, the challenges that can be found within the governmental structures. I also understood how to maximize the investments related to cybersecurity aspects in such environments.

Can you define a few main personal challenges for you as a CTO?

A huge challenge is to keep all the people working in the delivery team motivated. We live in a dynamic and competitive environment, where everyone is asked to do a lot. It is therefore very important to maintain a balance between the individual passion and the job requirements of a client.

If you could obtain any skill you would like in 10 minutes, what would it be?

I wish I had the power to convince customers of how vital cybersecurity is to their business. All organizations, whatever their size or sector, can no longer underestimate its importance, but it’s not that easy to make them understand how real the risk is.

What’s your motto in life?

“Chi non fa, non sbaglia”, which means that the only person who never makes a mistake is the one who never does anything. Making mistakes is human. To avoid even trying because you are afraid of doing something wrong, from my point of view, is limiting because we prevent ourselves from growing and evolving as people.

What would be your cybersecurity advice to a company?

Be aware of cyber risks.. and of how heavily they may affect your business!
