In a fast-growing organization, the sales team needs reinforcements to bring home the results. This month Sababa Security is glad to welcome onboard Alessio Nuccetelli, joining the company as an Account Manager. With 20 years of experience in the IT and cybersecurity market, Alessio will be responsible for bringing Sababa’s offering to enterprise customers. Read the interview below to find out more about him and his mission here.
My mission, on a personal level, is to continue a professional activity that I have been doing for 10 years now: it is a job that I enjoy doing because it puts me in contact with people. In particular, I have joined Sababa as an Account Manager, so I will be in charge of pure sales. We will try to take our offer to enterprise level customers with whom we can make long-term reasoning and plans, expanding the initial proposition with additional products and services over time. This creates strong customer loyalty.
I had many different experiences in life, which will certainly help me here at Sababa. In 2002 I started working as a Sales Account in an IT company in Rome, which required its employees to put their heart and soul into their work. This was an incredible training ground for me. Everything that came after has been possible precisely thanks to this extremely formative experience in a very complicated market like the one in Rome. Then I worked as Inside Sales for a multinational technology corporation and, after some other experience in different fields, in 2012 I joined a well-known Italian system integrator as a Sales Account. I found myself having to start all over again, without customers or contacts and in another city. This was a partly new environment for me because the company had a strong cyber proposition, but it also had an interesting soul in pure IT services and solutions. The portfolio of customers was quite diverse, from large companies to small and medium-sized ones, and this allowed me to get to know and have to meet different needs. This background is certainly a good starting point for my journey here.
In my opinion, the first challenge is that of being in a truly competitive world, there are those who sell and those who do not. There are companies with similar offerings and customers with various needs, but only one salesman, the one who managed to gain the customer’s trust, brings home the deal. Another aspect that should not be underestimated is never to think that things are always done the same way. There will never be one proposal that will develop in the way another one has. You always need to be aware of the fact that there are many ways to make a project concrete and always new.
This work can be done in many ways, regardless of the client you are dealing with. What I personally like to do is to deepen and really understand what I am talking about. Of course, you need to know how to interface properly, and be the glue between people from the client company and your team who can then discuss and understand each other on certain topics. I also like to know about certain topics, without going into technicalities, and that is why I have always attended many courses and taken many certifications.
In the beginning, cybersecurity was seen as something not relevant, though there were those who were already “visionary” and willing to include it in their corporate strategy. Events around the world and hearing about companies being attacked then created a greater awareness, making cybersecurity a major issue even at government level. Today, companies have a defined budget for IT security, especially at the enterprise level.
Many would say the gift of synthesis, because it seems – according to them – that I don’t have it, though I believe that it already belongs to me. The truth is that I talk a lot because I like to clarify things, concepts, and my thoughts very well.
Always put passion into what you do. When a team of not very strong players is cohesive, believes in something and puts its soul into achieving a goal, it automatically becomes the strongest team ever. Passion is the fuel of success.
Obviously buy everything Sababa offers! Just kidding. I would say keep in mind that in order to ensure the security of your business you have to consider many elements and it really takes nothing to threaten it, such as an infected flash drive inserted in a laptop.
