Sababa Security arrives in Central Asia and opens an office in Uzbekistan

The first Sababa Cybersecurity Contest was conducted in Tashkent on October 5, 2021. The Contest took place at the Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS). It attracted students from the technical departments of multiple institutions of Uzbekistan. Those included Tashkent University of Information Technologies (TUIT), INHA University, National University of Uzbekistan (NUU) and others.
“Within a cooperation between MDIS Business Incubator and Sababa Security, we organized a cybersecurity contest for university students from all around Tashkent. It is a great chance for young specialists to get an internship opportunity in Italy. MDIS in Tashkent is looking forward to working with Sababa Security again.” – comments Madina Mirsalikhova, Assistant Coordinator of MDIS Tashkent Incubation Center.
Over 250 students applied to participate in the Contest, that included multiple tasks aimed at evaluating the participants’ creativity and business-oriented mindset. 6 best students turned out to be the 3Y and 4Y students of TUIT and INHA. They were immediately invited for face-to-face interviews with Alessio Aceti, CEO at Sababa Security. The interviews aimed to check the students’ communication and soft skills, as the winners of the Contest will undergo practice at the company’s Security Operations Center (SOC) in Verona.

During the internship they will cooperate with our Italian customers from Industrial, Automotive, Telecom, and other industries.” – comments Alessio Aceti. – “I would also like to thank the entire MDIS team for their support of this initiative and arrangement of the Contest at such a beautiful place.”
After undergoing the internship in Italy, the best students will be offered a job in Sababa Security Central Asia office, opening in Tashkent. The next Sababa Cybersecurity Contest has already been planned for early 2022.
